Program Specific Members

Members associated with particular programmes, campaigns, study circles, regional units or special initiatives of BGCA.

About Program Specific Membership

Program Specific Members are individuals who take responsibility for a defined area of BGCA’s work — a programme, a campaign, a study circle, a regional unit, or a special initiative. They work closely with the Core Committee and with the wider General Body, while focusing their energy on a particular stream of activity so that each programme receives consistent attention and local ownership.

Unlike a fixed hierarchy, this category is flexible. A member may support Bauddh Mahotsav one year, coordinate a district-level Gyan Charcha the next, or help run a competitive-examination guidance group. What remains constant is commitment to the ideals of Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and to the values of liberty, equality, fraternity and justice.

Programme groups and coordinator names are published from approved BGCA records. Until full lists are released, the structure below describes the main types of programme-linked roles and how they connect to the Association’s work.

Main Programme Streams

📚 Study Circles

Members coordinating local study and discussion groups on Ambedkarite thought, constitutional values, and related social and educational themes. They organise regular reading sessions, facilitate dialogue, and help participants deepen their understanding of Babasaheb’s writings and the Constitution.

🎤 Outreach & Awareness

Teams that support public programmes, lectures, community awareness campaigns, literature distribution, and contact with educational institutions and local communities. They act as field coordinators, facilitators, and local contact persons for One-Day Bheem Gyan Charcha and similar events.

🗺️ Regional Units

Members representing district or regional initiatives under the BGCA umbrella. They help adapt programmes to local needs, maintain contact lists, and ensure that the Association’s message reaches different places and generations.

🏕️ Shivirs & Training

Volunteers and members who assist in residential camps and day-long training programmes — registration, logistics, arrangements, discipline, and participant coordination — so that every shivir runs smoothly and every participant feels welcomed and respected.

🕊️ Bauddh Mahotsav

Members who support the planning and smooth conduct of Bauddh Mahotsava, held every year on 25th December. Roles include organising committees, cultural and supporting teams, stalls, volunteer coordination, and related event tasks.

📖 Education & Competitive Guidance

Members who support students through mentoring, study material distribution, motivational sessions, and follow-up under BGCA’s competitive examination guidance and broader education initiatives.

How Program Specific Roles Connect to the Mission

Program Specific Members are part of the same democratic spirit that defines the General Body. Their focused work helps shape programmes, improve outreach methods, and keep the mission relevant. They may begin as General Members or Volunteers and gradually take on programme-level responsibility as commitment and experience grow. Hierarchy is kept minimal; sincerity, consistency, and willingness to learn and serve are valued above titles.

For duties and responsibilities that apply to all members of the Association — faithfulness to BGCA’s aims, active participation, protection of the Association’s name and platform, and mutual respect — please see the General Members page and the Membership Rules.
